Canucks in Cali

I live vicariously through these lucky fucks
The weather is disgusting in Toronto and I'm finding it increasingly harder to make it to class everyday, as the rain and slush are convincing me that from my bed is a much more effective institutions from which to learn the ins and outs of journalism. Toronto doesn't really have any indoor parks, which is actually super beat considering the size of the city and the number of skaters and it's normally just around this time each year that I really begin to lose my mind, and even more so this winter. It's not even cold in Toronto, if it wasn't wet it would be pretty tight weather to skate, but unfortunately this is not the case and its as grey and wet as a geriatric porn star. As I lay in bed last night contemplating missing class for another day I began day dreaming about packing it all in, taking my student loan, buying a shit box of a car and heading out West to Cali and the promised land. I can say in all honesty that I truly considered this, as I knew my happiness and mental health would be salvaged with the help of a little sunshine and skating. I'm a pussy though, and of course when I woke up this morning, but dedication to this dream had feigned and I realized I'd be spending the day indoors yet again, as I could hear the rain beating against the window of my apartment. I logged onto hellaclips real quick to get my morning dose of second hand skating before I headed off to the prison they call University, and I was ecstatic to see my previous night's fantasy turned into a reality for a handful of Canadian skaters, and I reveled in the fact that although I was not there my self, I could live vicariously through these dudes, watching the clip over and over and over (the skating isn't anything mindblowing, it's amazing, but pretty much all skating these days is) again trying to absorb as much of that Cali sunshine through the computer monitor as possible.Wish I was there! Matt Berger, Derek Swaim, Micky Papa, Cory Wilson, Rich Odam and Mike Campbell rented a vacay house in L.A. with the sole intent of shredding, slaying and all together escaping the 8 month shackles that Canada places it's east coast skaters in every year. The clip is tight, makes me jealous and only makes me fucking hate this bullshit winter garbage even more, still tho, it's nice to know that there are salvages out there, it's just a matter of getting there. While I'm stuck in the concrete rain forest that is Toronto, it's reassuring to know that there are some Canucks out there who have it all figured out, are doing what I'd love to be doing, and are escaping this beat weather whilst enjoying the babes and beauty that Cali has to offer. Wish I was there!
